What we have here is two younger string players who have come out of the gates at the top of their game. The combination of Robert’s tuneful fingerpicking with Ryan’s take on the improvisation inherent in indian classical music is a match made in heaven. Like mint ice cream and chocolate chips. Sweet, a microsecond of unexpected hard-to-place flavor, then a refreshing finish. I have NO doubt these two will have more to offer us in the future. Richard Hayes

A great poem inspired this fugue of Americana. It taps in to what Wendell Berry called the “settlers” of America; those that came to stay, and love, and suffer with this new land, rather than simply conquer and use it. This moves me, and I’m happy to have it as a constant reminder to “live gently in the land.” Ross Arlen Tieken
